My Stopgap is your site - you tell us what you need info on and we'll do our best to find it out for you and point you in the right direction. We have a number of articles you can access on the left hand side of your screen which will be added to regularly so even if what you are looking for isn't there right now, it will be. Just contact us and let us know what would help you most.

Private counselling can be requested via our contact form and if you just fancy a chat with someone, why not use the private message function or individual user contact form available on each user's profile?

We have a very useful links page which has our most highly recommended sites to visit, arranged by category and added to on a regular basis - you can even suggest your own links for approval via the contact form which if added to the links page will be credited to you, if you agree to that.

The forums are here for you to talk about anything you like and maybe meet some new people, make friends and perhaps recommend us to others elsewhere - you can get as much or as little involved as you wish, and don't forget that it is a safe place where no one will judge or criticise you.

Finally, I want to add something which you may or may not be interested in. As a Christian I know the power of prayer; I've seen miraculous things with my own eyes and have experienced God in many personal ways on numerous occasions. I have begged God for help during the darkest times of my life and He has come through for me one way or another no matter what - and I know He can do the same for you, regardless of your religious beliefs. So that is why I am giving you the option to ask for someone to pray for you or someone you know, even if you think it's a load of bull, because I believe that it will give you comfort and hope in what may otherwise be a desperate situation. There are no strings attached and I'm not going to try to brainwash you into believing the same things as I do, so don't worry about that!

If you want someone to pray for you, then use the contact form and type "prayer request" into the subject box - you don't even have to give any details if you don't want to, just say something like "please can you pray for me/someone else" and leave it there if you like. You'll get a reply stating that your message has been received and confirmation that you will be prayed for. If you'd like further discussion about your prayer request, just contact us again and we'll chat you through it all. If at any point you feel uncomfortable, just let us know and we'll stop - you have complete control over how your issue is dealt with at all times, so don't be worried.
