Top tantrum tips
Oh my gosh they make you want to stab your own eardrums with skewers sometimes...if you're not far enough into the parenting thing, then you have all this to look forward to. Oh joy etc.
See, my kid is actually pretty good but she does have the odd tantrum every now and then and whilst I tend to ignore her or throw things at her (I'm joking about the throwing things part - well, mostly...) I do have my own ways of dealing with an attack of the strops. I find for me that removing privileges is something she responds to quite well - she chucks a wobbly, I remove a toy or prevent her from having something she is used to like a treat in her lunchbox at school or her story CD which she loves. If the tantrum is on a gigantic scale, she is denied the privilege of being allowed to go and play with her friends after school or is told she cannot go to a party or after-school club.
For others, it will be different and will depend on what your kids are like - so post your top tantrum tips here!
