They said what?!?!

Seriously, some people say the most dumb and insensitive things when speaking to people who have lost a child before birth - ok, so for some people it's due to not really knowing what to say and trying to cover up their own uncomfortable feelings about the subject - for others I seriously wonder about whether they can actually hear themselves talk!

Some comments made to me after our twins died:

"Oh well, it's not the end of the world - you're young and you'll have another one, I'm sure"

"Perhaps it's for the best, eh? Better than having a sick or disabled baby"

"Well, it's not like you don't already have one child."

And the top comment which still makes me mad:

"It's God's way of getting rid of something not perfect" (sorry - the God I know doesn't work like that...none of us are perfect after all, right?)

What's more offensive about many of the comments I got was that they came from doctors who obviously thought that by making it out to be as small a thing as possible, they'd get rid of me quicker and not have to deal with a hysterical wreck...

Anyone else had similar experiences?
