Something in common

Hi there,
I had a miscarriage 3 weeks ago.I was around 10/11 weeks although I am very aware now my baby had died previously inside me as when I passed it it was under-developed, around 6 weeks or so I would say it must have died :(
Can anyone tell me at what stage does the placenta develop? and when can I expect my period? The midwives werent any help at all.
