Due to the imminent arrival of my second child (in about 2 weeks) the forums will be out of service until further notice. However, the use of the private counselling request form/emailing is still operational although I would advise that those using this service exercise a little patience if they do not get an immediate response.

In the meantime, please make full use of the organisations featured on our Links page if you are unable to wait for an email from MyStopgap as many of them have 24/7 help available. I would especially recommend that women in the UK wishing to discuss abusive situations contact Women's Aid immediately for instant advice and practical help for their particular situation in all instances - do not wait for us if your need for help outweighs your ability to wait for a response from MyStopgap. Your safety and well-being is paramount.
